The catalog makes my page very, very slow! 10 years 5 months ago #8890

Hi, the extension access my BD many times for each page load. This make my site toooo slow. It is virtually impossible to access any page in this way. I configured to display only 10 items per page, but that did not solve much. Please answer ASAP.

Dear customer,

Spider Catalog can not lower the speed of the page load. Catalog doesn't affect any other page. If the catalog page loads very slow, then it is connected with the images that you have downloaded(if the image size is big).

Well, if think not.

The images size are 100kb until 300kb, only. After of the extension was installed, this occured.

The depuration mode show me more than 200 access for each load.

Dear customer,

You can make your website speed test here : tools.pingdom.com/fpt/. Your issue is connected with your template css files and not with spider catalog.

But, why this long wait time only in your scripts to call the images?

Was there ever a resolution to this problem? I'm having the same issue on a couple of other sites. It's the wait that's attributing to the slow page load. Adding 2 seconds!
