Hi,
I recently noticed the Ajax Event Calendar I had been using stopped working and then discovered that it hadn't been updated in two years!
When I re-installed it I lost all my events past and future, I tried to restore various components from the plugin from my host's restore facility to no avail and then tried to restore the whole plugin, also to no avail.
All my data is gone now!
My question is, if I use your plugin is there a way of backing up/restoring event data separately in the event of a malfunction in the core plugin files?

Any help appreciated.

Dear Colin,

In our product all events are stored in MySQL Database and data can't disappear if you don't delete it from DB.Besides if you update your product your data won't be affected.

Hi,
Can you please read the following from Ajax Event Calendar FAQ:

"What happens when the plugin is deleted?
The event and category databases, custom roles, plugin capabilities, plugin options and widget settings are permanently removed."

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that with your plugin, event data will never be lost unlike the scenario above where if the plugin is deleted event related tables are removed from the main site database. I discovered that even restoring a previous database and AEC plugin directory does nothing to retrieve records.

Dear Colin,

If you Uninstall Spider calendar then calendar MySQL tables also will be deleted. If you deactivate and delete Plugin tables will remain in database. After installing new version of plugin you won't lose your data.
