Sorting the front end contacts
Bob Sowton created the topic: Sorting the front end contacts
I can sort by ID, firstname or lastname on the front end OK, but if I select “Ordering”, then whatever I select as a sort order on the backend (and click “save order”) doesn’t have any effect on the sorting order at the front end.
I’ve tried this with the demo as well and I get the same result.
Is this behaviour correct or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Bob

I am trying the same as Bob and the problem in your admin demo is still not solved. If you order contacts there is no effect in frontend.
I am looking for a contact list ordered by name and with the posibility to move at top "featured contacts".
Is it posible to do it with Spider Contacts? I think no but I'm not sure.
Best regards

Did this ever get resolved?
Sort order has no effect on the front end.

Hello Tim!
The ordering should be working properly, but there might be a conflict on your website. Could we please take a look at it from your Joomla admin?
