I am helping a friend with a website that was developed in Wordpress by a contract designer. I have basic web knowledge, but am completely new to Wordpress and Mailchimp. Our email list has been moved to Mailchimp and we are trying to add the form to the home page to allow users to add their email to our list.

I went into the MailChimp templates and let it create the HTML to create the entry box. I then cut and pasted that HTML into the left sidebar homepage widget in Wordpress. The entry box appears, but the Submit button does not, even though I can see the HTML code for the submit button. My thought is that there is a space problem - right below where Wordpress is putting the email box are the links for twitter, facebook, etc., but I can't figure out where those links are coming from.

I am also starting to think we are missing something ... Do we have to have a MailChimp plugin with a MailChimp API to connect this website to the list in MailChimp?

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would truly appreciate it. I understand that it would be better to go back to the developer to have this added, but that is not an option.

Are you using MailChimp WD plugin from Web-Dorado to achieve this? If yes, please give us the link to the page, where you have published your form, and we will check why Submit button is not appearing.

But in case you aren't using MailChimp WD, please download the free version from this link . This plugin will help you quickly add your MailChimp list fields to your form and publish it on your website.
