After the most recent update, Google Maps is no longer working; please see screenshot. How can this be fixed?

Please follow this link to create a project on Google Developer console and add API Key for Google Maps.

Please use this guide to setup the API key. But make sure that it is not restricted to a certain website, meaning, you should leave Accept requests from these HTTP referrers (web sites) setting blank. This restriction is most probably the reason your maps are not showing.

Afterwards add your key to Calendar Settings > Google Maps > API Key option.
