checking if jQuery is already loaded [SOLVED]

Patrick Schouten created the topic: checking if jQuery is already loaded [SOLVED]

It seems that Random Article is not checking if jQuery is already loaded. So it loads jQuery by default and is giving problems with other components on my site.
Could you please change that or give users the option to disable jQuery at the back end to overcome this problem?

Hello,
You don't need an admin account to my site.
The problem is that your software is not checking if jQuery is already loaded.
My template (by YOOthemes) is already loading jQuery. Because Random Article is also loading jQuery (I think an other version) some features from YOOthemes are not working.
Please read www.yootheme.com/themes/documentation/tr...ng/javascript-errors

I had to disable Random Article because of this. But I really like to use it.

I may have the same problem, I am using the Paradigm Shift template from Shape5 and when I publish Random Article it stops certain parts of the template from working...namely the image slider and menu drop-downs. I believe this is related to jQuery

Thanks

Dear midtech,
The jQuery problem of Joomla Random Article is solved. This is probably another problem.

Please give us (to email [email protected]) a temporary admin user account to your site, and we will try to find out the problem as soon as possible.
