I found this BUT - I cannot find "Upcoming Events" widget anywhere to add!

From user manual: "Step 9: Publishing the Upcoming Events widget.
In addition to the main widget you can also use Upcoming Events widget, which will display a custom list of upcoming events.
9.1 Add Upcoming Events Widget to the sidebar."


On your demo page for spider calendar near the middle of the page in the left margin is an upcoming event list. It is basic and expanded so it is easy to read. But I cannot find where or how to select or create that widget?

Please go to Appearance > Widgets and search for Upcoming Events widget. You can simply drag it and drop to desired widget area.

Great!! now, I want the day of week to appear. In the date format box it has [d F Y ]

Is there a letter to make it show the day? (like Monday 12 October 2015 ) or similar?

UPDATE: I figured out from other posts (too bad this is not in the manual) to use a "D" to get a Day abbreviation like Mon or Wed

Unfortunately it is rather complex, than to just add a letter in date format. We can make a small customization for you (in case of Pro version), if you want to have the weekday displayed.

The day was just a wish, don't understand the formatting letters but thought it would be simple. Lets forget that as the abbreviated day is fine.

Unfortunately event start time does not display in Upcoming events by default. However, we can customize this for Pro version of the plugin with an additional fee. Please feel free to send an e-mail to [email protected], in case you are interested.
