Hi,
I need to add classes to the text layers.
Maybe the slider could automatically add a class using the text layers name?
Is there a way I can modify the code without it being deleted when the slider is updated?

Please be informed, that unfortunately the plugin does not have this functionality. But it sets IDs for each layer, you can use in styles or script you want to add.

In any case, having the feature to add class to layers would be very handy. So I have reported your message to our developers as a suggestion. They will take it under consideration when developing future updates of Slider WD.
