I got strange IP addresses in my submissions, in fact, they are worthless like that. IP Lookup could not handle them either. Any thoughts?

Most probably the user uses the latest version of Internet Protocol. This is an example of IPv6. Please find more information here.

thanks for the answer, but I think there is something wrong. I use Statcounter and I could see, who was on my thank you page and there the IP addresses are normal, means not IPv6.
Anyway, do you think that IP Lookup would give an "Invalid input" if it is an IPv6? Please try yourself. 2a02:a03f:1e28:1c00:4dc9:8ff7:2ae2:f53e Maybe your component is decoding the IP address?

I need a solution for this problem, no further information. Your answer was not helpful at all for me but you are always very friendly. Stats Counter is getting the right IP address format. Why should it not possible for Form Maker as well?
