I'm upgrading from an older, non-Joomla gallery (Menalto's phpGallery) that has albums/galleries from 2005. Is there a way to import the entire structure & it's images or do I have to recreate it?

Dear Christy,
If you have your images uploaded to your website, please go to your root folder > media > gallery-wd > uploads folder, and copy the images to there.
Since the images in uploads folder do not create thumbnails, you'll need to create a new folder, named originals. Afterwards please copy the images to originals folder also. When you create your gallery from Joomla backend, please hit Reset, and the thumbnails will be created.
