Display images already on website
Mike created the topic: Display images already on website
Hello there,
I have several hundred images, in folders, already on our climbing club website. Have previously used Phoca Galley, but I have given up on it, as I can't get it to display as I want.
Is it possible to make your software find existing folders and images on the website?

Hello Mike! Thank you for posting about this!
In case these images are available in WordPress Media Library, you can turn on Import from Media Library option from Photo Gallery Options and then add them to your galleries. I am posting a screenshot, where you will see this setting.
But in case the photos are kept on a different directory, you need to move them to /wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/.original folder first. Then add them to a gallery, select all images and Reset them. You can do this by choosing Reset from Bulk Actions and clicking Apply.
Thanks! Have a wonderful day!
Kind regards,
Agapi G.

Thanks, but I am on WD Lite on a Joomla 3 site, and none of these settings are evident.

Hello Mike!
I'm sorry for confusing the topics. In that case you can move the images to /media/com_gallery_wd/uploads/.original directory instead. Then go to the backend of Gallery WD, add the images into one gallery, select them all and click Reset.
Please make sure to only have images in /.original directory. If you add them in sub-folders, they won't be displayed properly on your website. Let us know if this works.
Thank you! Have a great day!
Kind regards,
