I have Form Maker 2.6.2 installed on a Joomla 2.5.19 site and it's been working fine. But in the last few days, email submissions from one of the forms are not being received.

Nothing has changed on the site, and it has been working fine up until now.

In other words, a site user will fill out a form and click the Submit button, and as far as they can tell, everything worked like it's supposed to. But the email notification is not being delivered and the only way I can see a new submission is to log into the site back end.

What can I do to get this working again?

First of all please make sure the email is not filtered to the spam or junk email folder.

- Try using another email address
- Possibly your hosting does not have sendmail enabled. Please contact your hosting provider.
- Alternatively, you can use SMTP, which should always work.

Setting an external SMTP server, such as GMail should work. But GMail requires authentication.

Mailer: smtp
SMTP Authentication: yes
SMTP Security: SSL
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Username: your gmail full address
SMTP Password: your gmail password
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com

Aha! For some reason sendmail had quit working on the host. I switched to SMTP, entered the server info, and everything seems to work. But I still don't receive any emails.

There are no warning messages and everything seems to work normally - but the emails still aren't getting to me.

Hi, Well I got it working. I set up a new email address specific for the contact form and now it works. Very strange, but it's all good now.
