Email Submissions Not Being Received
John Tappan created the topic: Email Submissions Not Being Received
I am not receiving test submissions from a form. I have 3 email addresses listed to mail to, but none are receiving form information.
Could you please take a look at our site and see if there is a problem?
It is Form ID=19 on page fbcmw.org/discipleship-2016
Temporary Access: Username: Agapi G Password: 5(HtB$Hq&RqZIe@YcsLDvR7I
Thanks

Hi John,
Thanks for your inquiry.
John the admin credentials you have sent us are not working, can you please recheck the details?
Also John, please never write your website admin info publicly, some other people may see and use it for harming your website. If we'll still need to check the issue from the back-end, then you can email us at [email protected] mentioning this forum post URL in your email.
But before emailing, please check whether you get the form entries in Submissions section.
If yes, then please try the following steps.
First of all please make sure the email is not filtered to the spam or junk email folder.
- Try using another email address (preferably one with the same domain as your site)
- Wordpress uses PHP mail. Perhaps your hosting does not have sendmail enabled. Please contact your hosting provider.
- Alternatively, you can use SMTP, which should always work.
You can use this plugin for example:
wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/
Setting up an external SMTP server, such as GMail should work. But GMail requires authentication.
Mailer: smtp
SMTP Authentication: yes
SMTP Security: SSL
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Username: your gmail full address
SMTP Password: your gmail password
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
Instructions for WP SMTP
Please be informed, that this could be an issue with your server. You can check this by the following way. Please install an SMTP plugin, e.g. WP SMTP (
wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/
) and send a test mail to your e-mail in its settings. If the e-mails will be sent, then the issue is within Form Maker and we will need temporary full admin access to take a look at the problem.
But if the test mail will fail being sent, then the issue is within your website's mail server and you'll need to contact your hosting provider to solve the problem.
Please keep me updated with results.
Kind regards,
Zhanna K.

OK, thanks, I will try this.
I am sending to an aol.com address, a fbcmw.org address, and a gmail address. The only one that works is the gmail address. The other two are not even showing up in spam.

Hi John,
It's really weird that you get emails even on your gmail account.
I have emailed you about your email settings, please check it.
