I'm newbie in the joomla world. How do I perform a update of form maker lite (from 3.0.6 to 3.5. without the update manager? Do I just have to install the newer version above the old version?

Dear user,

Yes, that is the correct way. However, Form Maker 3.0.6 is very old and its database structure is quite different from Form Maker 3.5.9.

So installing the latest Form Maker over 3.0.6 will cause problems and your forms most probably will not function properly.
