I need to know if the form maker is compatible with 3.0 or will I need to uninstall it before Migrating it over?

It is compatible, but there are different versions for Joomla 2.5 and 3.x. Please see the steps bellow to migrate Form Maker from Joomla 2.5 to 3.x:

On your Joomla 2.5 website:
1. go to phpMyAdmin
2. open your Joomla 2.5 database
3. select the Export menu item
4. change the radio button from Quick to Custom
5. unselect all tables and select the following 4 tables:
[j25_prefix]_formmaker
[j25_prefix]_formmaker_submits
[j25_prefix]_formmaker_themes
[j25_prefix]_formmaker_views
(where [j25_prefix] is your Joomla 2.5 database prefix)
6. scroll all the way down and press the Go button. This will export a SQL file containing those 4 tables.

On your Joomla 3.x website:
7. select the Import menu item
8. browse for the exported SQL file
9. scroll all the way down and press the Go button. This will import the form maker tables to your Joomla 3.0 database.
-- now you need to change the prefix for those tables to the one that is set for your Joomla 3.0 database.
10. in the phpMyAdmin from the left pane of your Joomla 3.0 database select the [j25_prefix]_formmaker table.
11. select the Operations menu item from the top menu
12. scroll to the Table options box and edit the value of Rename table to field with the Joomla 3.0 prefix, so that the table name now looks like this [j3_prefix]_http://www.poedit.net/download.phpformmaker (where [j3_prefix] is your Joomla 3.0 database prefix)
13. do the same for other 3 tables.
14. go to your Joomla 3.0 administration panel and install the Form Maker 3.0 version.

That's it! Now you should have your forms, submissions and themes all set up.

I am migrating a site from J2.6.x tp J.3.x.x and followed your instructions; everything was going great until I tried to install the form maker package. I got the following error and it won't install.
