I am helping a friend with her site. We want to upgrade the free version to the new paid version of the ecommerce WD plugin. My fear is that when I download and buy the paid version and install it, I am going to lose everything that is there now. Is that correct? is there any documentation for this type of move?>

Maria, that is pretty simple please don't worry for losing anything just follow the steps described below:

Please buy the plugin, then login at web-dorado.com > go to My account and download the pro version.

Now please enter Plugins section, deactivate and delete the free version and install the pro version.

No data will be lost.
