I was under the impression that this plugin was responsive. Is it not? If it is where is that option?

Unfortunately the plugin is not responsive. But we have a new FAQ plugin, that hasn't been published to WordPress.org yet. We can send you its unreleased version, if you want to use it.

Please note, that unfortunately it is a separate plugin from Spider FAQ and if you did create Questions with it, they won't be included in the new FAQ plugin.

What is the shortcode to be used with the FAQ WD responsive plugin?

The manual shortcode of FAQ WD is the following:

[faq_wd cat_ids="27" theme="272" faq_category_numbering="true" category_show_description="true" category_show_title="true" faq_like="true" faq_hits="true" faq_user="true" faq_date="true" faq_search="true"]

But it would be better if you added the FAQ using FAQ WD button in TinyMCE editor. Please see the highlighted area in the attached screenshot.

I just got surprised by this too, after purchase. I mean I'm surprised fixed widths are used when we could easily use percentages to make it responsive?

Can I do this with the css at least or should I also look into the above?

You can try modifying the CSS to make Spider FAQ responsive. However, we would recommend you to us the new FAQ WD plugin, since it has more options, is responsive and uses better technology.
