Is there anyway that the data filled into the form by a user will remain even after the form is submitted? In other words, the user fills in their details and submits the form (form is emailed), but the details entered stays on the form.

Form Maker has a functionality to save the incomplete forms, then return later and pick up right where they left off. Is this helpful for you?
For getting the functionality you need to use Save Progress add on.
