When testing formmaker forms in 2.10.1. I have just noticed that if an error occurs say the wrong captur is entered a "popup" warning used to appear at the top of a users screen, but now this has gone and a warning now appears on the form it's self which can be lower down off screen.

The problem with this is that users/website customers will not always know that they have made an error on entering details on formmaker pages because they cannot instantly see it and may think all is ok.

Can the top of the screen error warning popup be reinstalled somehow?

These error messages are Javascript alerts, so most probably something has triggered a conflict, which caused this issue. Could we please take a look? Please submit a support ticket by sending temporary WordPress admin access to us using this form ?

Also Agapi I have noticed that on testing the forms which I do regularly, that not all the sections of the form remember previous data entered. For example the name options remember previously entered details so autofill is able to be used but not in the email option. This applies to other areas of forms as well depending on type of form.

It is a recent development as autofill was active in all sections previously except the message area of forms.

Is this a browser issue with formmaker? I use google chrome on desktop win7.

As for the autofill problems, this is most probably a browser problem, since Form Maker does not modify the default settings regarding this. However, we will ask our developers to check just in case.

This problem was rectified by Anoush by supplying me with a new version of Formmaker but since updating with newer versions of Formmaker (2.10.6), I (and others) have the same problem and also this version of Formmaker is not telling me when an update is available I can only find out by logging in to Webdorado to see what is going on.

To recap what the problem is:................ When someone had filled a form in with their details and made an error in captur, a warning used to pop up at the top of the user browser screen saying that they had entered the wrong details...........Now this warning is just 3 words and appears directly on top of the form.

If (as I do) I have information text and webpage images above the form, then when someone fills in the form with details and makes errors in captur the webpage returns to the top with the captur error warning out of sight below the users browser screen only available if they should decide to scroll down the webpage which they have no real reason to.

This can result in the user assuming all is correct and leaving the webpage.....thus leaving the form entered incorrectly and loosing business as unless captur is entered correctly the form will not process.

The captur warning must be at the top of the users browser in a notification warning pop-up so they can easily see and be prompted to return to captur and enter details correctly....................Or the web page must not return to the top and the user must have a error warning directly at captur as they do now if they miss required compulsory information elsewhere on the form. These are the only ways a user can be warned and prompted to correct any errors on the form...........the present 3 word warning directly on top of the form is just not suitable except if the form is right at the top of the webpage so being in the users browser screen..........and this isn't the case on a lot of webpages.

Thank you for re-sending the access! We checked your form and looks like it is updated to the latest version. As we understand, you wish the errors appeared with alert messages, as they did before. Is this correct?

If so, we can send you a version, where the inline validation (current way the errors appear) is not available yet. This way you will be able to have alerts. So please let me know.

But the way this seems to be working out now I will be having to contact you everytime I update Formmaker with the latest version to have a copy with a pop up sent to me? Is this what will happen?

If so I think I will just do away with the captur on Formmaker and save any extra work or problems.

Unfortunately the alert messages were removed from Form Maker, and inline validation has been enabled instead. This is more modern and secure in protecting from spambots.

So unfortunately you will need to use a bit older version with alert popups, if you wish to have them. But from the point of view of design and security, inline validation is more functional than alerts.
