Submit button - how to create multiple actions?
TwirlATX created the topic: Submit button - how to create multiple actions?
I have a form that has a required radio button at the bottom - the radio button has 2 possible values.
When the user clicks the submit button, I want a custom action to take place based on the radio button's value.
To be more specific, the radio button determines payment method: PayPal versus check/cash. If the user selects PayPal, I need to pass them to PayPal to complete payment ... if they select check/cash, I need to direct them to a static page that says "thanks for your form submission, please follow these instructions, etc."
What's the easiest way to accomplish this? Do I need to use JavaScript? Please help!

Hello! Thank you for posting your request!
Here's what you can do to achieve this. Please add one regular checkbox for your check/cash field, and one PayPal checkbox for online payment option. This way when the user chooses the option check/cash, they will not be redirected to PayPal.
Could you please try this and let me know if it works for you?
Thanks! Have a wonderful day!

Hello Cubert!
Unfortunately this is the only workaround. Could you please mention the issues you are facing? The redirection to PayPal and submission without payment should be working properly, if the setup is correct.
Thanks! Have a great day!

Hi Cubert!
The form required customization to achieve the functionality you needed to have. And I am happy to inform you, that the necessary changes have been made. Note, that our developers have removed Payment Method field and added a new one that has the same purpose.
The form will function like you wished for as long as you have this field on your form and it has the option Cash unmodified.
Thank you! Have a nice Friday!
Kind regards,

Hi !
Yes, I was checking it this morning and it work
Thank you so much.
However as I was modifying some other fields, not sure what had I changed, the function doesn't work again! Both (Paypal / cash ) payment mode leads to paypal page.
I would like to change the word "paypal" to "credit card" and "cash" to "fund transfer". Does this change affect the functionality of the buttons?
I would also like to add on a admin charge of $5 when customers select "credit card" mode.
The login and password is still the same at the temporary login information provided to your support team.
Would appreciate if your support team can effect the change for me again? As I'm not sure which field to add (I believe the developers have made some adjustment)
So sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!

Hey Cubert!
We will make these changes for you again, of course!
But could you please make sure to set all final values and then confirm, that we can use those?
Also, regarding the 5 USD case, please let me know how would you like this process to be completed. Are they going to use PayPal and additional $5 will be added to the price?
Thank you!
Kind regards,

Hi!
Thanks for much for the help.
Yes, if customers select "credit card" mode, $5 will be added to their grand total in the form, and get redirected to paypal page, amount payable will be inclusive of the $5 admin charge.
I confirm the following :
Payment method:
Credit card ($5 admin charge apply) - just $5 will do, not USD. > and this will redirect to Paypal page
Fund transfer (FAST) > this will simply submit the order form, with no redirection to Paypal page.
Thanks so much!

Hi Cubert!
I am happy to inform you, that the necessary changes have been implemented to your Form Maker. Please don't update the product, since that action will clear out the customization.
Thank you!

Hi there!
Sorry for the late response, as I was very busy and the website progress was put on hold.
I have just did an test order and realised that no emails are received (when new orders came in) and also the recipient do not get any email response as well! Before was OK.
I have not change any setting on the the form nor did I adjust the product field that your developers had created.
Can you please help me check what had went wrong?
My login ID and password remains the same.
Another issue, I realised that products that are "zero" in value, do not appear in the submission form when I view them. I need to able to read all checkboxes value in the form. Anyway to reflect them even though they are FREE (zero value).
Thank you so much, and hope to hear from you soon.
