I built the form and placed the code on my page but when updated the page shows the shortcode as text not the form as should be. Please advise.

Can you please check Form Maker plugin's version?

This issue usually occurs with the versions older than 2.7, if it is older than please update the plugin and the issue will be solved.

If it is newer than please send us the page URL where you have submitted the form.

There must be some confusion—I'm using a plugin called Contact Form Builder, version 1.0.43. That's your product right?

While opening the topic you have selected Form maker product, that's why I thought the inquiry is about that product.

As for the issue, please enter the Plugins' page and make sure that Contact Form Builder plugin is active (short-code is displaying when the plugin is deactivated).

If it is active but the issue still persists , please send us the form page URL.

The plugin is active but still the short code is displayed as text. The URL for the page is:

The only explanation can be that someone has deactivated the plugin then activated.

I have the same problem and no resolve. [Contact_Form_Builder id="2"] is displayed as text.
