Is there a tutorial or an example of how I can create a 2 column form? I'm not getting this to work:

You can use drag and drop to move the fields up/down for the change of the order and left/right for creating columns within the form.

If I move a field to the right, it doesn't display on the form builder interface.

I'm using the form builder. I have a form that is going to be rather long, and I would prefer to have it displayed in 2 columns instead of one really long column down the page.

In templates of Forms there is at least one form with two columns. Please create your form on that template.

Which form are you referring to? Can you point me in the right direction? Are you referring to the "Owen and Audrey's Wedding" form on this page?

We are really sorry for late reply. Yes, you can use that template as an example if you are using WordPress Form Maker. But you have told us that you are using form builder. If you are using WordPress Contact form builder, then you can use Contact form 2 template. If you don't manage to do it yourself, please contact us again and we will try to look into your issue ourselves.
