I need to put text instead of a numeric value in the price field to indicate that the item is 'on hold' or 'on request'.

Is there a workaround for this please?

Unfortunately there is no such functionality but we can customize it in a way that you will be able to insert text there as well.

Please be informed, that if you have the latest version of Spider Catalog, you can add the text in the price field. It will appear in frontend.

I do have the premium latest version: 2.8.1

it lets me key in text but does not display it unless I put a number in front. Is there something I am missing?

i tried loading it as a normal plugin but it gives an error:

Destination folder already exists. /home/gaulos/public_html/wp-content/plugins/catalog/

Plugin install failed.

i dont want to delete the current version of the catalog as i have close to 200 items on it.

Is there another alternative?

Dear Noel,

Please note, that you will not lose your data if you deactivate and delete the version you have, afterwards install the version we have sent to you.

The case, when you will lose the data is directly uninstalling the plugin from WordPress menu.
