Preview looks fine but calendar displays dates in middle of day cell for current month only and Mon - Sat only for all themes.

Unfortunately, so far just on my local development site.

I did what I should have done at the start and changed themes to the basic twentyfourteen. Looks fine there so must be something to do with the Responsive Theme.

Most probably your issue is connected with your current theme. It has added padding to the calendar. You should remove the padding.
