Using attributes for option values in JavaScript?

IKE created the topic: Using attributes for option values in JavaScript?

Hello,

I read that FormMaker can allow the following to occur:

-Includes additional attributes, where you can customize the specific properties for the fields of the form using Java Script.

I created a form in Joomla back-end administration with Form Maker extension that has the following option values as:

Anonymous
Student

which are next to the label I created saying Anonymous User or Student.

What I am trying to do is set a condition for additional text field to appear only once the Student option value is selected from the drop down list. How can I achieve this? Do I need to add attribute and value name in the back-end and somehow linked those names in the JavaScript option?

Any help/advice is appreciated, thanks.

Dear customer,

You can download the latest version of Joomla Form Maker and use Conditional fields functionality. You do not need JavaScript for that.
