Formmaker issue with concervative caching
Michael Mullan created the topic: Formmaker issue with concervative caching
I had been doing my testing with formmaker without caching enabled. I am now ready to migrate my J2.5 site to J3.2.
When I enabled caching in final testing in J3.2 (using latest version of pro formmaker) form will not send. When I turn off caching everything works again.
Note I have the system cache plugin disabled since I know there are JavaScript issues with this extension
Interesting the native Joomla contact form works with or without conservative caching being enabled.
Help appreciated!

Dear Michael,
Now our form maker works only when the caching is disabled. But we will try to fix this in future updates so as it will work with Joomla Caching enabled as well.
Best regards,

Thanks
The caching issue affects quite a lot of extensions. Good that you will try to get form maker to work with caching.
perhaps the changes to J3.5 will be helpful?

Hey there Michael,
I just wanted to let you know, since I have a little experience with Form Maker Lite and caching, that I've successfully gotten 2 forms to appear on the same page of my Joomla 3.2-powered site with caching enabled and they submit without issue.
It's not vanilla System Cache though, I'm using a great (free) advanced caching extension called JotCache (
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-en...formance/cache/13155
). It comes with its own cache plug-in and way of handling things in conjunction with Joomla's own Conservative caching, but more importantly it works. Give it a try, it doesn't take long to learn, and I think it'll suit your needs just fine.
Enjoy, hope it helps!

Sean
Thank you for sharing! not sure that I fully understand Jotcache yet.
Yes Jotcache configured appropriately and conservative caching enabled will allow formmaker to work.
I am also using a cookie blocking plugin in that will not work with caching enabled. It won't work with Jotcache enabled! I expect I will find how to block this problem when I read the docs!

yes you need to get Form Maker working with cache in Joomla 3 as some other components and modules need it.

Has there been any progress on getting Form Maker to work with Joomla cache turned on?
I would really like to have the cache on on my sites as this will increase the rest of the site performance and help with Google ranking.

Any news when a an update would be available to fix this issue? We really need to be able to turn on caching on our site but at the moment this is breaking all form submissions.
Kind regards
David

Dear Wicko,
There is a plugin called CacheControl. Please download it form Joomla Extensions website and install it. The plugin will contain a section called Rules, here provide the links, where you have the forms posted. And after that turn on the Cache. This will help you to both keep the cache on and have the forms working. Thank you.
