New field as web site (URL)

Donald Kuykendall created the topic: New field as web site (URL)

I need for my form to have a field that the user can list his Facebook site or Website. I have searched and looked and can not find how to do this.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

I am using the simple text field but even using http:// it is still just text and not clickable when output to a page on my WP site.

Is there a setting that would make is clickable?

Users are filling out the form and the results are being displayed on a page capitalcitycamera.club/?page_id=188

I would like for the links on the page to be clickable.

Dear Donald,

Could you please give us the form page as well? Has your Form Maker plugin been customized? The classes of the published submissions don't seem to be Form Maker's.

Thank you.

capitalcitycamera.club/?page_id=173 is the form. There is also a link to the form on the submissions page.

I have not modified anything. The form and the page are straight out of the box.

Dear Donald,

We believe this capitalcitycamera.club/?page_id=188 is a private post and whenever we try to open it, it redirects us to the site homepage. Could you please contact us to [email protected] and give us temporary admin access, so we can view this page?

Also please don't forget to mention the full link of your forum post in the e-mail.
Thank you.

Thank you for the help in making the URL clickable. Will any future forms I build or fields I add have the same functionality?

I updated to the latest version and the links no longer work. Can you tell me what you did before to make the links clickable so I can keep it working when updates are done?

Dear Donald,

Please be informed, that we have implemented the following code in /frontend/views/FMViewForm_submissions.php file:

$d=str_replace("***br***",'<br>', $t->element_value);
		if(strpos($d,'www')===0 || strpos($d,'https://')===0 || strpos($d,'http://')===0){
		   if(strpos($d,'www')===0)
		   $d="http://".$d;
		   echo  '<td align="center" class="'.$labels_id[$h].'_fc" '.$styleStr.'><pre style="font-family:inherit; white-space: pre;"><a href="'.$d.'" target="_blank">'.$d.'</a></pre></td>';

You can paste it to the same file and will get the result.
Thank you.

I have tried adding it to the end of the file but it does not work. I am afraid I am not pasting it in the correct place. Where in the file does it need to go? Sorry that I am having to ask so many questions but I am not familiar with php code.

I normally like to update software/plugins when they are updated. I did notice that there is a new version but I am afraid to update since the last time I did the links were no longer clickable. Has this been fixed in the core of the plugin or will it require fixing again?

Dear Donald,

We have done a customization for you, so please do not do updates. It is not a bug but feature which is not available with the default product. Thank you.
