Form won't notify of submission

Robin M created the topic: Form won't notify of submission

I have over 20 forms on my website. EVERY part works great except I am not being notified that a form has been submitted.

The submitter gets a notification email, the auto responder posts a thank you, but I don't get an email notifying me that the form has been completed. Most of the forms were a form copied from a different form.

Any suggestions??? This Is a real big problem.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Dear Robin,

First of all please make sure the email is not filtered to the spam or junk email folder.
- Try using another email address (preferably one with the same domain as your site)
- Wordpress uses PHP mail. Perhaps your hosting does not have sendmail enabled. Please contact your hosting provider.
- Alternatively, you can use SMTP, which should always work.

You can use this plugin for example: wordpress.org/plugins/webriti-smtp-mail/
Setting up an external SMTP server, such as GMail should work. But GMail requires authentication.

Mailer: smtp
SMTP Authentication: yes
SMTP Security: SSL
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Username: your gmail full address
SMTP Password: your gmail password
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com

Thank you.

:(
I have used this plugin for about a year. I have it on all my sites and have never had this problem. So I know it isn't my hosting company. I also have it notifying me on many other sites to a email that is not the same as the site url.

I am having the submissions go to clients who are paying for the leads, so if I set up a new smtp server would that fix the plugin issue for them too? Would each client have to have an email on that account? Sorry, I don't understand SMTP

It worked on all my other sites as of yesterday at Noon, but now the plugin isn't sending any notification emails On any of my other sites, but it is sending the thank you for submitting email.

I am using Form Maker Version 2.6.6 with Wordpress Version 3.9.2

Are they compatible?

The site that has never worked is Smartutahbuyer.com

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am having the exact same problem as the OP mentioned.

I have however installed Wp-SMTP Mail installed and its working.
So I can send users who fill out the form a mail, send a test email from SMTP however I am not getting administrator messages.
